Finally the Edwin Binney Collection of South Asian Art is taking center stage at the San Diego Museum of Art. Binney’s gift to the museum includes 1,453 objects in one of the largest and most important collections of South Asian art in the world. Don’t miss it. This statue of Shri Devi is the centerpiece of the current exhibit. The entire collection will be moved through the new exhibit space over the next few years. The exhibit also includes several representations of Shiva and The Buddha.
