Mushrooms or toadstools... I don’t know the difference and definitely don’t know toxic varieties from those that are good to eat; so at our house we stick to those that we pick up at the grocery store. I heard once that the poison ones are known as toadstools and the good ones are called mushrooms; but I’m pretty sure that’s a casual distinction that helps nobody.

The mushrooms in today’s photographs are springing up daily in a couple of places on our hill. Of course, we won’t eat them; but they do make interesting pictures.
