THURSDAY, MARCH 5
Knox Scott died today. He was what one might call a "classical friend." He knew the importance of friendship. He knew how to be a friend. He liked sailing. He liked singing in the choir. Knox liked people, and I am fortunate to have been someone he liked... and to have liked him in return.

I found this lily blooming in Balboa Park today. It seems an appropriate flower for my photo du jour. The poem is by William Blake.

The modest Rose puts forth a thorn,
The humble sheep a threat'ning horn:
While the Lily white shall in love delight,
Nor a thorn nor a threat stain her beauty bright.

A modern dance. A symphony. A (youthful-) erotic early morning. A great picture, Jerral!
