KUDOS  AND CONGRATULATIONS to Karla Duarte, Stephen Popham and their organization “GIRLS, CAMERA, ACTION,” for receiving State Farm Youth Advisory Board’s Grant of $86,880 to continue the work of empowering youth.  Tonight was the official launch of “Animate A Way,” an extension of “Girls, Camera, Action” which includes boys in empowerment activities.  In addition to the support of State Farm’s Youth Advisory Board,  “Girls, Camera, Action” and “Animate A Way” have the full support of Sarah Boot, the District 2 candidate for City Council in the next election. Sarah has left her job as a federal prosecutor to enter the election.  She is committed to directing public attention to the problems of human trafficking, especially to the abuse of women and girls forced into sexual slavery.
