AFTER YESTERDAY'S LONG-WINDED JOURNAL ENTRY, it seems appropriate today to lighten up. Margaret and I drove out to Shelter Island to find the restaurant where she and a friend are having lunch tomorrow... and to let the bay and ocean lift our spirits. It worked. I especially like the serenity I always feel when I walk around the simple gift from the Japanese government. It implies peace. We need peace. Later on the way home I had to stop and take photographs of the bay, boats and San Diego. Peace.
