I HAD FOUND MY PHOTOGRAPHS FOR THE DAY AT THUAN PHAT MARKET AND WAS WORKING ON A POEM TO GO WITH THEM, when I heard the news that a federal judge has ruled that Proposition Eight violates the American Constitution. The poem can wait. This is a day for celebration. All fair-minded Americans celebrate the ruling and reasonable people around the world celebrate with us.

Proposition Eight has been overturned. The Federal Court announced today its ruling that the Constitution of the United States does not limit its protections only to persons of the opposite sex who love each other but extends them to all persons regardless of race, gender, religion, age or any other characteristics by which individuals define themselves. Once again the American systems of government and law have demonstrated that our constitution is the remarkable, reliable document that we want our children to grow up believing it is. FISH OUT OF WATER

Armageddon around the corner

I sit here this morning in anguish as I watch the growth of a devouring monster. I cry out and nobody listens. Friends and family are annoyed that I disturb their tranquility. Even my fellow tea party patriots are complacent. I fear that our only option may soon be an internecine slaughter more bloody than our Civil War. We have brought this on ourselves by allowing the enemies of America control.
We have allowed liberals to take over our educational system. We have allowed the abomination of political correctness to pollute our values and we have welcomed into our midst those whose goal it is to destroy us. We have permitted the denigration of our culture and unspeakable uncleanness and made it a part of our psyche.
God has a disconcerting habit of allowing His people to reap the crop they sow. I struggle for words strong enough to convey my dismay. Christian-American values have been attacked on so many fronts I know not where to start.
The Obamanites have seized control and know not the truth. "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20 I see demons doing the bidding of their master who, "... as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" I Peter 5:8. He is the predator and we are the prey.
Armageddon is lurking around the corner.
