A friend whose opinion I respect sent a note today saying I had given the iris short shrift yesterday. He said he wasn't surprised. He said he has always known that I am the stargazer type... so easily distracted by the burlesque queen that I miss the prima ballerina. So today; Here's to Irises!

Although I am a stargazer, I love the iris more than the lily. It is delicate, and yet shows such strength!
