THE BEGINNING OF A WEEKEND WITH FAMILY... big, extended family. We are a typical American clan. Ethnically we are mongrels, or as my brother says, mutts... a little bit of everything... English and Dutch and French and Native American and who knows what else... My Brother Jim has come from Manhattan and Hampton Bays, New York. Sister Helen lives in Yuba City, California. Niece Janet is here from Perry, Ohio. Her two-year old grandson has come from Cleveland. Nephew Terry will come from Oregon. Daughter Nancy is coming from Maryland... Son David is coming up from San Diego... Brother Bill and Sister Pat are Californians... Sister Jacqueline, who has lived most of her adult life in Louisiana, cannot join us... and, of course, there are in-laws and we have children... and grandchildren and even great-grandchildren... More than fifty of us will meet for a reunion at my Sister Alice’s home in Granite Bay...so this weekend my photos du jour will be family.JoaquinMy sister HelenMy Brother Jim
