Bears Shit in the Woods

Roses are red and violets are blue
sugar is sweet and so are peaches
sometime but not always... and
everything breaks down finally
on close examination when
certainty is the only answer
we’re prepared to accept...

except about
plums and
quite possibly
lemons...

But we know the Pope is Catholic
and bears shit in the woods,
but that doesn’t mean
we know anything at all about
what else the Pope is
and even less about bears.
