NO RHYME, NO REASONSome things we must do
whether we want to or not.
There are caves I’m afraid to go intoand people I don’t want to meet
and rooms that I don’t want to enter
no matter how lovely their doors

and places I’ve seen from the roadoff in the distance where the path
narrows and disappears into what
I assume is astoundingly perfect.
Deciding what is required, what is merely suggested
and what should be avoided
altogether under any and
all circumstances and what
should be done no matter
what the hairs on the back
of your neck indicate about
the situation at the moment
is what I want to know.
