Margaret, Elaine, Patrick, Jeremy and I went on a field trip to the Getty Museum today. A highlight of the museum visit was an exhibit of French landscape paintings. The little painting above (on which I put the title of the exhibit) is only 6 inches by 6 inches, so it's about the right size for a Blog like this. The curator had picked out this painting for the exhibit's poster, and big prints were plastered all over the museum. I was expecting a big canvas and was surprised to find the tiny little painting.THE J. PAUL GETTY MUSEUM in Los Angeles (Westwood) is one of America's greatest treasures. The museum, filled with great art, is a work of art itself.
