the way fliers in the circus

and roll again sometimes

through the air precisely on time

to catch the bar... 

pyramids, too,

mystify

bloodless mysteries are the easiest,

nothing to compare with the contagion 

deeply hidden

showing no signs

of killing

until too late

leaving life stripped bare

naked as a jaybird

seen as the delicate thing it is.
