My favorite tree, a rainbow eucalyptus, is the subject of another attack. Old scars cover almost every part of the trunk. The tree is one of five of its kind that I know in San Diego. This one is located in Balboa Park near the museum of photographic arts. The tree unfortunately stands close to a public walkway.
The shrub with blue flowers nearby isn't related to the eucalyptus. It's limbs are not broad enough to become a canvas for people who leave their marks in public places.
