What perfection in this two- to three-inch cactus!  The Fibonacci spiral and Fibonacci sequence are common in nature.  Leonardo of Pisa, also known as Fibonacci, explained the phenomenon at the beginning of the Thirteenth Century.  He could not have seen one of these little round organic balls in his native Italy, but he wouldn't have been surprised by its symmetry.
