Michael is getting ready to go off to the university next year. I've been doing the "photo du jour" thing for more than twenty-three years, so I've got a pretty good record of his growing up. I went to my journals and found the two "baby" pictures of him when he was five months old (He was the subject of my pictures for April 29 and May 2, 1992.). My picture for this day is Michael a month short of his eighteenth birthday.

Michael is such a handsome boy and with so many possibilities. I think of him much like I think of nicholas, mt 9-year old grandson. Would that this old man could live long enough to truly see what these young men will become, what they will eventually do with their lives. Age, in my case is a bit cruel, because I probly won't be arround.
