An atmosphere of celebration characterized the event. Many of the marchers were walking in memory of someone who has died of conditions resulting from breast cancer. Others walked to celebrate their own good fortunate in having survived breast cancer, or they walked in support of someone who is battling breast cancer or who has survived the disease.
