CUAMACA MOUNTAIN HIGHThe message in Julian is clear, especially the Comfort/Music part. Even though the gold rush lasted only one year (1869), the little town didn't fold itself up and disappear. It still sits surrounded by (mostly mythical) apple trees perched in the mountains an hour's drive from San Diego.
