REPRESENTATIVE JOHN LEWIS was keynote speaker at ACLU's San Diego "Action Summit." He is one of the heroes of the civil rights movement, and I can report that he continues to be at a leader in the movement to secure civil rights for all people. He is strongly in favor of marriage equality for gay and lesbian couples. He said, "You cannot separate the issue of civil rights. It is one of those absolute, immutable principles. You've got to have not just civil rights for some, but civil rights for all."
