SAN DIEGO OUTDOOR SCULPTURES:  First, let's take hats off for  sculptor who came to San Diego as a teenager, Donal Hord.  Probably the best known Donal Hord Sculpture is outside The Prado restaurant in the Casa del Prado in Balboa Park.  The sculpture was the result of a WPA project... The artist, as well as other artists in the WPA program got something like $75 month for his work... In the sculpture garden at the San Diego Museum of Art three significant sculptures are now in the west end of the space that was once too crowded: A George Ricky sculpture, Two Lines Oblique, a stainless steel sculpture, moves in the wind.  The other two pieces at the west end of the garden are by British sculptors, Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore.  On the way into the garden a Louise Nevelson sculpture which she called Night Persistence II is definitely worth seeing.
