Margaret's sister's back yard in Dixon is fringed with roses, snap dragons, and other assorted flowers; among the flowers are two exotic poppies with half a dozen blossoms each. I photographed the blossoms and made digital mats and frames for them. I'm guessing another orange flower is a variety of tulip. The dandelion seed pod will be denuded before nightfall by the gentle wind blowing in through the Carquinez Strait from San Francisco Bay. Grain fields near Woodland will be ready for harvest in time for rice planting soon. This is the Sacramento Valley.
