Tom Fagan is a serious artist. One of the many reasons I like him and his work is that he takes seriously the responsibility of artists to make art that speaks to children. One of my favorite murals in San Diego was done by Tom in 1998. When Linda Vista got a classy new, modern library building designed by Rob Quigley, Tom turned a blank wall across from the entrance into a mural that matches exactly its mission and spirit.
Take a look at Tom's murals at Rady Children's Hospital for a reminder that art has healing power.
