Margaret and I explored the southern coastal area of Mendocino County. What photographer can resist a lighthouse, so we headed for Point Arena and the lighthouse build in 1908 that replaced an earlier one that was destroyed by the 1906 earthquake that destroyed San Francisco. From the Point Arena Lighthouse it is possible to see the San Andreas Fault over by Garcia Creek.The lady with Margaret and me was the docent who climbed with us to the top of the winding staircase in the lighthouse.
