David and Ginny Burnight’s home is perched on the side of a hill in the village of Crest, aptly named because it is a scattering of homes around the top of an impressive hill east of El Cajon. Of course, I wandered around their house with my camera and got pictures of a real cat, a ceramic cat, a grandfather clock, and a party happening in a room with good food and a beautiful Chistmas tree. Back at home when I was editing the images, I had the odd feeling that the party could have happened in the miniature village the Burnights set up every Christmas on a couple of book shelves.
