PASSION FLOWERI've been seeing these complex flowers all over San Diego. This must be the time of year for them. I read that there are 500 species of flowering plants in the family Passifloraceae to which this particular flower belongs. I have seen them in all sizes, textures, and colors. The one makes me think it should have a name, like Audry in "The Little Shop of Horrors."
