Taking a break from the “Toward a Personal Theology”

I revisited the Cactus Garden in Balboa Park where the several varieties of agave from Lower California deserts are doing what they are supposed to do.  Surrounded by “pups” the spectacular plants that were in full bloom early in the spring and dazzling at full maturity in summer, the plants have died… life from life.  There is an evolutionary explanation, but I don’t know what it is.  It’s a mystery, but not for plant biologists.

Your county should be paying you for the great advertising you do for Balboa Park. I feel I've been there before because of all the great stuff you have shared on here. If I ever get to San Diego, I will be stopping there for sure.
