Today Nancy, Margaret and I went to a special National City place, Niederfrank's Ice Cream Shoppe.  Niederfrank's was opened in 1948 on "A" Street.  The ice cream, more flavors than I remember seeing in any other shop in San Diego, is all made on the premises. Niederfrank's is worth the trip if you're looking for a special treat.
