The climate is changing…  One of the signs is that the San Diego winter is different this year.  Flowering trees were blooming differently.  The regular flowers are brighter.  Many of the flowering plants are blooming at least a couple of weeks earlier than usual.  The first picture today is a wildflower.  The second one is related, I think, to the flowering plant that looks like a bird... The Bird of Paradise.
