Friday, Rockville, Maryland…
Midmorning I went out for a long walk in Nancy’s town. I went down by RockCreek and walked along a familiar trail. Temperature today in Rockville is around 50 degrees farenheit, about as cool as the weather gets in midday on San Diego’s coolest winter day. Leaves are falling onto the ground and into flowing streams. This is autumn, not winter.
Black walnuts are settling onto the ground under trees. English walnuts won’t survive the cold in winter that will come later. Rockville city crews are out on a good day like this clearing limbs that are
overhanging sidewalks. Life is good!
