Margaret, Nancy and I enjoyed an afternoon on the C and O Canal at the Great Falls of the Potomac River.  The tow path of the canal was a favorite place to ride my bike many years ago.  It is still a good link to America's past.  Water on the Potomac River is higher than usual this year, so the falls were muddier and less dramatic today.
