ought to be driving that beat-up Volkswagon bus,
the one with all the paint gone from the right side
that used to be the pride of someone
who by now can’t remember
what it looked like new.
The old Fords and Chevies are the ones I like
because they say grandmothers and uncles live here.
Maybe the sports car is just visiting.

Where did that car come from? As your words suggest, someone at sometime bought that baby new and was pleased as punch. Now look where it sits. What is the story behind that car? I want to know.
