Just after sunrise this morning I took this picture of the beautiful Harvest Moon an hour before it dropped into the Pacific. I couldn't get myself in the mood for a moon poem. The "natural" calamities in Asia were too much on my mind.
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR
Who can ever know the sorrow
of losing a child to the flood
after praying for rain.
Be most careful what you wish for.
One man’s blessing is almost
always someone else’s sorrow.
