13 DAYS UNTIL NOVEMBER 8...  I was sitting watching TV news after dinner tonight, and the subject of the day was the same as it was yesterday and exactly what we can expect tomorrow: the election of a person to be for at least four years the President of the United States of America. I am an old man, and I have been through these election cycles for decades, and this year has been different from all the others.  I find myself asking how we got to where we are as a nation... and I don't have a satisfactory answer to that question.  I am wondering what the subject of TV news will be on the 9th of November... and the 10th... and a month later on the 10th of December.
