I am not an advocate for frequent changes in laws and constitutions.  But laws and institutions must go hand in hand with the progress of the human mind, as that becomes more developed, more enlightened... as new discoveries are made, new truths discovered and manners and opinions change.  With the change of circumstances, institutions must advance also to keep pace with the times. We might as well require a man to wear still the coat which fitted him when a boy as civilized society to remain ever under the regimen of their barbarous ancestors.
--Thomas Jefferson

What a stupendous, what an incomprehensible machine is man! Who can endure toil, famine, stripes, imprisonment or death itself in vindication of his own liberty, and the next moment. . . inflict on his fellow men a bondage on hour of which is fraught with more misery than ages of that which he rose in rebellion to oppose.

-- Thomas Jefferson, 1786

We, the People

I just spent some time checking the last few posts of yours that I have missed, great shots of one of my favorite city's, and a great looking group of people to visit with. All those shots taken with your new little toys. And I just ordered a new lens? Seriously, must i go small again? Glad you're enjoying your trip, it sure looks like you are.
