...and he asked,
“What would you want to be one with,
if you had the chance to meld with it...
something in nature, something living...
or not?"

I couldn’t decide.
At first I thought about a dog I know...
then remembered they live not long,
and changed to wanting to be a tree
with bark.

...or just myself.
At my advanced age it’s better I guess
to settle into liking whatever it is in me
that I can’t change and even the other
parts as well.

The words in your last poem did so much to me. Thank you. It’s so beautiful and make me think.

And he asked….
“What would you want to be one with,”

That what living's all about.
Never fill it up with doubt.
Look up at the trees, hearing the singing of the birds
Happily chirping singing at ease without words.
We have forgotten the little things,
that mean so much,
Like the laughter, the freedom, and someone’s a loving touch.
If only we let nature take it’s course,
in each and every one of us,
each day and night.
And…….. as I sit and wonder,
how Nature got it so right.
How come, that we sometimes lost all sight?

My first thought was I would meld with a dolphin, but I'm not sure how long they live, so don't hold me to that.

The Eucalyptus is over near Morley Field... the far east section of Balboa Park, near the frisbee golf course.
