This is a three-thousand-year-old bronze of a charioteer in the museum in Delphi. Our bus driver was perhaps a descendant of this fellow.

We left Athens early in the morning and traveled by bus up to Thebes and Delphi... Amazing.  Today is my seventy-sixty birthday, so I felt right at home among the ruins... just kidding.  I actually felt like a kid, and since time is definitely relative, I am just a small dot of time on the range of history, especially in Greece.  Delphi is as much a wonder to me today as it was to the worshipers of Apollo three thousand years ago.

First of all, happy birthday my friend, even if I am late. These photos are blowing me away and making me want to go on a vacation. Athens? wow!
