How I remember that day. I was teaching music at an inner city school in Tacoma, WA. A 6th grade class was filing into my room when a boy screamed at his teacher in the hall ,(had been hiding his new transister radio to his ear) and as he arrived at my classroom door that "Our President has been shot!!!!!!!" Needless to say, we all listened, horrified and with tears to the radio the rest of the period. I still have the sweater I was wearing on that fateful day. President Kennedy had flown over our school a short time before in a helicopter. I was barely pregnent with Bill and was terrified for him and our future. Pat
