I didn't know it was the most common. We do have one little area about 15 minutes from my house, where the road is lined with it. It sure isn't local to our area, so it is quite noticeable.
Mark, I'm only guessing grass is the most common plant on earth... and bamboo is grass. I love the tuff. The bamboo in these pictures grows just down the hill from where I live.

I think of this when I wrap bamboo fly rods....they are light, strong and flexible....
