I had thought, but I was wrong, that getting away from the juvenile’s/children’s halloween, meant leavening behind the pleasant absurdity of make-belief.  Paradise Village is a retirement home, a place where residents must be over the age of fifty-five.  The beauty is still here… but the holiday was going full steam ahead, and not a person even among the staff, was under the age of twenty-five... Halloween is alive and well here.
