Flowering Pear:  I've finally learned that these beautiful trees growing all over our hill and all over San Diego are pear trees (flowering) and not flowering cherry trees.  I decided today to see how they would look as black and white photographs.

Last night I went to the opening of the new exhibition at the Museum of Photographic Arts, showing the work of Mexican photographer Flor Gardiño.  Wow!  Black and white... and such extraordinarily works of photographic art... now I am a fan of Gardiño.  Everyone who lives near San Diego should make sure to come to the museum while the exhibition is there.  Gardiño was present for the opening... She lives in Mexico City... What talent!
