Today was one of those strange times when the world seemed too close... beginning with the pictures in the California section of the Los Angeles Times of the Salton Sea.  When I saw the photographs, I knew what the photographer was trying to do... and he did it.  I took pictures of the pictures, deciding at the time not to try to do something to them that the photographer, Mark Boster, succeeded in getting.  The text under the first picture: Dead Trees, debris and dead fish dot the shoreline of the salon Sea, which is 35 miles long and 15 miles wide and straddles Imperial and Riverside counties.

The first, fourth, and fifth pictures I got near the Davids' house.
