I was among a group of Mike Brayer's friends and colleagues today. Before and after his funeral in Fontana, we honored his memory by remembering and reminding each other what a very good man he was. When a memorial service can be a heart-felt celebration of a person's life and work, the value and worth of that person is affirmed. It happened today. Setting out on a great adventure like climbing a mountain or biking across the country or just preparing for another day of teaching, Mike liked to say, "A man's got to do what a man's got to do."
