What do four persimmons, an orange bicycle, and a bird of paradise blossom have in common?

On the day I began my student teaching, my master teacher, Ms. Lola Albright, said to me, “Don’t forget, Jerral, all learning is about the connectedness of things.”

When I finished my student teaching assignment five months later, the last words she said to me were,“Remember, Jerral, you teach first who you are.”

You first teach who you are... and then go on to teach how you are connected to everything and everyone around you.

Lovely message. Life is about the connectedness of things.

If we could all learn that one lesson there would be no more war or poverty or injustice. At least we would be in a better place to have peace on earth.

Love to you,
Taylor

Jerral, we are a race that learns mostly through hindsight. Our history tells us so. For some among us, all I would say is: Lets believe.

"Wow. Words of wisdom there. I will be sharing that with my 2 daughter teachers."
