Potpourri

Pear Tree Bark, bougainvillea, Liquid Amber, and lemons.
There’s a poem in there somewhere, but I can’t find it.
Some days are like that.

Margaret was making lemonade with the lemons a couple of friends gave us from their backyard trees... Wonderful friends... Delicious lemonade... Can't beat that.

Liquidambar styraciflua.... has many names: liquid amber, American sweet gum, sweet gum, alligator-wood, American-storax, bilsted, red-gum, satin-walnut, or star-leaved gum. Take you pick. I knew it as sweet gum when I was a boy. The people in California were call it liquid amber.
