Eight o’clock
and still no picture for today,
at least not one that stirs me;
so I take out the little camera
and aim at the mask from Bali
that I got
in a village
I don’t much remember...
on the top shelf
above my desk
with the brushes
and bicycle and
sepak takraw ball
balanced
on a picture
of Brother Jim and me...
to go with the birds of paradise
and a lily... It’s late...
It’ll have to do.

"...It's late, it'll have to do.." There's something about getting old(er) that makes that a statement about life, at least my life, not always...but sometimes and more frequently than when i was young(er)... it's late, it'll have to do... and the good thing about getting old(er) is it does do...not always....but most times...it does do just that...DO. Now it's also true that sometimes I'm surprised and even though it's late it does more than just do. Peace, my friend.
