A San Diego Symphony Summer Pops Concert always closes with fireworks and explosions with the orchestra playing and people celebrating the joy of family and summer and peace. Tonight as Margaret and I watched and listened, I thought about the citizens of Syria. The explosions there are not cause for celebration. Peace seems a long way off for that poor country.

Next time, check out the show for what it is, and enjoy your time with your wife and worry about the world tomorrow. You deserve it.
