San Diego isn't known for clouds... or rain... or storms. What we had last night and this morning can't be called a storm, but we had a good soaking rain late last night and in the morning followed by a period of clearing with some of the most impressive clouds I've seen in the area in a long time... all of this before more clouds and more rain. I hurried out to Point Loma and Cabrillo Point hoping to get good pictures of the clouds. I wasn't disappointed.

WOW.....This "daily" is reminiscent of the English painter, John Constable. His landscapes most always contained wonderful clouds. My friend Alan (a very talented artist) and I went to a Constable exhibition a few years back at Salmagundi Club near Washington Square. When I see beautiful clouds, I always recall my growing up years and those spellbinding, Sacramento Valley, spring skies.

Thanks for prompting this wonderful flashback. Memories really are an old man's playground.
