Click on these dandelions to see and be amazed.
I was about to say
there are few things
that rival in beauty
the first crocus
that pokes its yellow head
through the icy snow
to open in full glory
to the delight of
the whole earth...

Then I happened
on a dandelion
on its spindly stem
wider and rounder
than when it bloomed
a modest yellow flower
now a ball of lace
waiting for a breeze
to tear it apart.

who knows the dandilion's will and wants,
its deeds or desperations?
