ANTHEM
Ode to Joy
Yesterday's Blog was heavy. I needed a break today, so I went out looking for autumn, and I found it in Mission Valley where the 805 Freeway soars over a row of liquid amber trees. In Arkansas we called them sweetgum. Whatever name they go by, they are proof that San Diego does indeed have seasons.

But if you have to actually LOOK for proof of seasonal change, is there really seasons?
Just kidding, seasons are not, it looks beautiful there as the winter starts to raise it's ugly head in the Philadelphia area. Enjoy that beautiful weather

Yes, yesterday's blog WAS heavy. I agreed with EVERY WORD. I'm very depressed about the outlook of the near future.

We have a liquid amber or sweetgum tree in back of our cottage here at Wesley Palms. We also had one at my home in Kensington. When my grandson was little, he used to bring in a few prickly "balls" and put them -- without being seen -- into a little wooden vase, to let us know he had been here!
