A guy was making remarkable time scaling a sheer rock wall at the edge of the river as we went through the gorge.WELTENBERGThe baroque church in Weltenberg is small, but it has an amazing large sculpture of St. George on a horse spearing a writhing dragon behind the altar. It's quite a show.The countryside coming up to the section of the river known as the Bavarian Gorge is spectacular in autumn. We spent some time at a monastery in Weltenberg. I walked up a hill behind the church and brewery to get the pictures below.
